Margalit Startup City Be’er Sheva was established with a mission to identify, nurture and build the next wave of cyber security and big data companies emerging from Israel. Over 18 cyber companies have started their journey in our center in Be’er Sheva, and developed breakthrough technologies in the cyber security fields. Among them, Morphisec, Rezilion, Secret Double Octopus, Coro, CyActive, SCADAfence, Source Defense, Valid, 1Touch and many more. The startups that were established at the Be’er Sheva Cyber Center currently operate all over the world, employ hundreds of employees, and market technologies to giant global companies.

JVP Cyber Lab was established in 2013 as the first government-backed early-stage incubator focusing on cyber-security and big-data. It is strategically located in the epicenter of Israeli cyber innovation, bringing together academia, multinational corporations, and experts with experience from the military’s elite computer units. Over 18 of JVP’s cyber portfolio companies have grown in the cyber labs of Be’er Sheva, bringing solutions to the world’s cyber challenges, including disruptive technology-provider CyActive, which was acquired by PayPal. Following, PayPal established its new security design center in Be’er Sheva.

With a vision to create an innovative vibrant and growing tech community in Beer-Sheva – the heart of the Negev, Tech7 was established in early 2015 by a group of young students and graduates alongside industry figures such as JVP, DELL-EMC, and Ben Gurion University. With over 10,000 followers through Facebook, Meetup and other social networks, Tech7 is proud to be the largest tech community in Beer-Sheva and the south. Tech7 aims to focuses on bringing together and creating synergy between entrepreneurs, start-ups and multi-national companies for the common good of the local community and in order to promote and support technological initiatives in Beer-Sheva.

It is every kid’s dream to be able to celebrate their birthday with family and friends, yet some do not have this privilege. The Youth Angels of Bakehila Be’er Sheva are a dedicated group of young people changing the social reality of under-privilaged children in the South. Through volunteer initiatives such as the Birthday Party Program, they are able to give back to the community by hosting birthday parties for children under the poverty line and making their dreams come true.
