After a process of eight years building the ecosystem, we have witnessed the growth of dozens of local startups, which have reached a scale-up stage and are ready to significantly expand their initial development and production capabilities. Once identifying this immediate need, Margalit Startup City purchased ‘The Terminal’. The Terminal is a Foodtech micro-industry complex. Its purpose is to provide infrastructure for labs as well as production facilities for companies at the scale-up stage. The plot is located in the Northern industrial zone of Kiryat Shmona and sits on 10 dunam. We are currently working on Phase one of the project, with approvals for a Phase two future plan. This strategic location is just 200 meters from the future Foodtech Park, a landing pad which is an asset for shipment of products to Europe, visits of investors and corporate representatives, and just two minutes away from “Yuvalim” – the biggest housing project in the Upper Galilee. The Terminal is a unique model that is first of its kind in Israel, and will attract the attention of many players. We are very excited for its launch!
